Play to Learn

Neighborhood House's Child Development Center is proud to provide exceptional early childhood education to our youngest learners. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, we implement a community-oriented curriculum that promotes a lifelong love of learning.

We are so happy to share our newest addition with our children and families - our natural playground! We hope you will join us for an afternoon of play, exploring and celebrating. We may even learn something along the way.

When: Sunday, October 13th from 3:00-5:00
Where: Neighborhood House (201 N. 25th St. - come and see us sometime!)
Cost: $35 for an individual or $50 for a family
Food: Light apps included, beer available for purchase

According to research done by the University of Western Australia and the Children & Nature Network, children who play regularly in natural settings are sick less often, are more resistant to stress and have a higher measure of self-worth. They play in more imaginative, creative ways and show improved language and collaboration skills. Access to natural playgrounds develop a child’s ability to recognize, assess and negotiate risk while building confidence.

We hope you will join us on Sunday, October 13th from 3:00-5:00. Get your tickets here.
