Though this summer looks different than others, we were so happy to be able to welcome youth back to our building this week. Programming is half day and social distancing safety measures are being enforced, including wearing masks and small group sizes.
Our kids have started musical instruction in keyboards and vocals, done science experiments and started art projects - and that's just in the first week!
Each summer we partner with talented artists and experts in their fields to provide special instruction and experiences. This year we're happy to welcome Marcellus Love (dance), Rickey Readus (vocals), River City Drum Corp., Side By Side Art Studio, Cooking Matters with Dare to Care, George Williams (photography), Jou Jou Papailler (drama), Jerald Smith (STEAM) and AMPED to our Youth Development Program.
AMPED is also generously providing keyboards, like the ones pictures here, for youth to use throughout the summer.
