Give for Good 2020
Our hearts were full when we woke up on Sept. 18th to news that we’d raised $57,000 in 24 short hours. Thank you to all those who participated in Give for Good, and for sharing in our hope for a better, more compassionate and equitable future for our families.
The Team Shaan Foundation
We are so grateful for all of the new people and organizations who have joined the Neighborhood House family this year. One of these organizations—the Team Shaan Foundation—recently made a generous gift of $10,000 to support the work we’re doing with children and families.
The foundation was born from the love of five young men grieving an incredible loss. RaShaan Roland Willis was only 16 when he died in the March 1997 flood. His five best friends started the foundation to honor his memory, and honor it they have. Together they have led campaigns for the Center for Women and Families and Louisville's children’s hospital, as well as creating an endowed scholarship fund at St. Xavier High School.
Rajon Rondo Foundation
Lastly, thank you to the Rajon Rondo Foundation for their continued support of our Youth Development Program. They most recently provided a number of supplies our kids needed for NTI instruction, including work stations they decorated and personalized.
