We've been up to a lot this past month, and we are so excited to share it with you! We hosted our annual fundraiser, Night to RISE on March 18th, at TEN20 Craft Brewery in Butchertown. This event raised awareness for the work we do every day and brought all of our friends, families, supporters, and donors together. The Youth Development Program had a blast during Spring Break on their trip to Washington D.C.! The Child Development Center had an egg-cellent time hunting Easter Eggs this month and spending the first part of Spring on the natural playground. It's almost May, and if you're from Kentucky, you know that Derby is right around the corner. The Four Seasons Senior Program is busy planning and preparing for its famous Oaks Party.
Night to RISE
More than 200 of Neighborhood House's closest supporters showed up to celebrate the work we do and the programs we provide to Louisville's West End. We are proud to be a home-away-from-home for so many, and Night to RISE showed us just how many community members and partners consider themselves a part of the Neighborhood House family. Thank you again to our sponsors, raffle and bourbon donors, The Unlimited Show Band, Foxy Q's, and everyone who came out to show their support. We can't wait to see you at Night to RISE 2024!
Spring Break Adventures
The Youth Development Program took on Washington D.C. for Spring Break 2023! From the Capital to the National Museum of African American History and Culture, this trip was full of fun, learning, history, and memories that will last a lifetime.
At Neighborhood House, we believe in creating a community of opportunity. We want to show members that they can be active in their local communities, and beyond.
Thank you to our amazing Family Services and Youth Development Program staff for planning and facilitating this trip. Without their commitment, some of these members would not have the chance to travel outside of Kentucky or visit our Nation's Capital.
Egg-stra Special Friday
The Friday before Easter the Child Development Center had the biggest Easter egg hunt on our natural playground. Each class took turns hunting and filling their bags with different colored Easter eggs.
