In a normal year Thanksgiving is one of Neighborhood House's biggest holiday celebrations. Our Child Development Center children, their families, and the seniors in our Four Seasons program come together in our community room for a homemade meal, prepared from scratch by Melinda, our CDC director.
It looked different this year -- our seniors and families weren't able to join us -- but Melinda still cooked for the CDC and the youth program kids who come to us each day for NTI support.
We know the December holidays are a time for gift giving, and we understand the joy that accompanies picking out gifts. That is why we've identified two ways you can help spread holiday cheer at Neighborhood House in a Covid-safe way - by purchasing items from our Amazon wish list (found here) or by donating gift cards to WalMart or Amazon.
Our hope is that this helps limit the number of people coming and going from our building, as well as lessening the risk that any of our extended family be exposed to Covid.
