The Emergency Food Pantry
Neighborhood House partners with Dare to Care to provide fresh and nutritious food available to residents of Jefferson County, Kentucky. The pantry is open Monday-Friday from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM. As one of the only food pantries in the west end open five days a week, Neighborhood House is proud to offer a wide variety of items every day including pantry staples like canned goods, rice, and beans, and frozen meat. Bread, sweets, fruits, and vegetables are offered when available.

How it Works
- In order to receive food, guests must bring a photo ID that lists a Jefferson County address.
- If a person lives in Jefferson County but their ID does not reflect that, then they should bring the ID along with a supporting document with a Jefferson County address. Examples include:
- Lease agreement
- If a person currently lives in transitional housing, they will need a written letter from the house manager.
- If a person lives in Jefferson County but their ID does not reflect that, then they should bring the ID along with a supporting document with a Jefferson County address. Examples include:
- Guests can pick up food once every calendar month

Supporting the Neighborhood House food pantry is easy! Volunteers allow Neighborhood House to serve hundreds of families every month. Volunteers in the food pantry greet guests, restock shelves, assist with food deliveries, and more.
