Free Concert with the Louisville Orchestra

March 28 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Join Neighborhood House and the Louisville Orchestra for a free concert on Friday, March 28th at 7:30 PM. Join us for Jazz Meets Orchestra, a genre-blending program led by conductor David Baker and featuring the dynamic Ansyn Banks Jazz Ensemble. This vibrant concert highlights the deep connections between classical music and jazz, with Gershwin’s playful Girl Crazy Overture, Miles Davis’s iconic All Blues, and Debussy’s timeless Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun and Fêtes, celebrating how Debussy’s impressionistic style influenced countless jazz greats and created a unique musical dialogue across genres and generations. Additionally, hear the world premiere of LO Creators Corps composer Baldwin Giang’s leviathan, featuring melodies that twist, turn, and twine in thrilling ways.
